If you want a sample of Miami’s graceful history, head just south of downtown and visit Coral Gables – home to upscale shopping and elegant Miami mansions. The whole area is modeled after the Mediterranean and is centered around the Villa Vizcaya – a stunning estate built by James Deering in 1914 using materials that were imported from Spain and Italy. The estate actually includes parts of castles that were imported from Europe and reconstructed on the estate. Also be sure not to miss the Biltmore Hotel – this is an iconic Miami landmark with stunning architecture modeled after the cathedral in Seville.

Apart from all this, shopping is Miami is also awesome and if you want something more relaxed, you only have to go a few miles outside the city to find the most magical remote beaches and coziest inns and hotels!
